Ghost in the Shelves
Ghost in the Shelves
Alphabetize shelves, without scaring patrons!
Made in 48 hours for Micro Jam 015: Ghosts by Raylyn Pettigrew and Cody Brock.
(This was our first time collaborating, and the first time doing a game jam for both of us!)
---
We had a lot of fun ideas revolving around ghost librarians, but we decided to hone in on the idea of a curator so dedicated to their cause, that not even death could stand between them and perfectly-organized shelves.
Patrons continue to visit this library, oblivious to the fact that it is no longer maintained by the hands of the living. Seeing our protagonist floating amongst the stacks would send people running for the hills, so the only path to a well-organized, well-attended library is via stealth organization.
---
Maybe in the future we could build this thing out into a multi-faceted library management simulator. With ghost mechanics.
Re-shelve books, man the checkout counter, organize shelves into sections, pass through solid walls, torment the living, issue library cards, etc.
---
Thanks for playing!
